Rev. Tillman Habegger, 96, of Fort Wayne, a member of First Missionary Church, died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2001, at Riverbend Health Care Center.
The Berne native retired in 1979 from the denominational offices of the Missionary Church after 50 years of service. He taught Bible classes for Senior Fellowship at First Missionary Church and was a former recipient of "Who's Who in Religion."
Surviving are his daughters, Alice Berryman of Grover Hill, Ohio, and Virginia L. Habegger of Fort Wayne; a sister, Floreine Speheger of Berne; stepdaughters Carol Ringenberg of Fort Wayne and Barbara Steiner of Renaldo-Arvada, Colo.; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and five stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn V.; his second wife, Marguerite M.; a son, Tommy Lee Habegger; a brother; and three sisters.
Services are 2 p.m. Monday at First Missionary Church, 701 W. Rudisill Blvd., with calling one hour before services. Calling is also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at D.O. McComb & Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Ave. Burial will be at M.R.E.
