A little son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel L. Abbott, named Alfred, aged 11 years, died in this city yesterday of diphtheria. Mr. Abbott was a member of the gallant First Colorado battery during the war, and has the hearty sympathy of his comrades of Dodd post; G. A. IL The funeral occurs Thursday from the family residence.
