Funeral services are being held this afternoon at two o'clock over the remains of Mrs. Geo. W. Chase, who passed away at 5:45 o'clock Tuesday morning. Rev. Robert N. Chord will be in charge of the services and interment will be in Exira cemetery.

Mrs. Chase had been in poor health for some time and since the latter part of April had been gradually failing until the end came. Death was caused from cancer of the stomach.

Mary S. Lefleur was born in Michigan on February 20, 1858. Her parents moved to Shelby County when she was quite young. She was united in marriage to Geo W. McClain, Mrs. Pearl McClain and Mrs. Nellie Wolfe, all of Exira and vicinity excepting Richard J. who resides at Casper, Wyoming.
