On page 916 of "History of Jackson County" is a bio of J. W. Garuhart. It took me quite a while to link him up to your memorial #55397202. This bio says that J. W. was born in Jefferson County, VA. It appears his last residence was in Jackson County, MO. but the Mo DC says he died in Lafayette County on Jan. 25, 1923. This bio says his wife's name was Rushia and I can't tell from looking at the headstone whether the fourth letter is an N or an H? By the way, from the looks of the stone it would appear the correct name is Garnhart. But then the father was born in Germany so Garuhart may be right.
