John, Hepburn, who had been in feeble health for sometime, died on Friday last. The deceased lived one and a half miles east of Eugene, and had been a resident of that township since 1829. He moved to this country from Virginia, and at the time of his death was 80 years of age. He was a man in good circumstances, and got his start by coming to this section in an early day, when lands were cheap. He was well posted on the early history of this county, and delighted to relate his pioneer life among the Indians and wild beast of the forest.
