Elizabeth was the only daughter of Thomas Jefferson Marsh and Minerva Campbell Hendershot Marsh. She had seven brothers. She was a small woman, never weighing 100 pounds. She smoked a pipe, but didn't like most people to catch her at it.
On November 16, 1902, Elizabeth married William Knox. They had four children:
Fred, born June 14, 1903 in Woodside Township, Ottertail County, Minnesota. Fred married Myrtle Olson, had two sons and two daughters (Frances, Harold, Orvis and Marjory), and died February 19, 1979. He is also buried at Woodside Cemetery.
Mabel, born in July of 1905. She married Otto Krey, and resided near Wrightstown. They had two sons (Donovan and Norman). Mabel died on December 15, 1984, and is buried at Woodside Cemetery.
Eunice, born February 1, 1913. She married Bob Fischer, and they farmed just west of Wrightstown on her parents' farm. They had one son and one daughter (Arvid and Diane). Eunice died in 1995, and is buried at the Woodside Cemetery.
Ross, born in 1915, died in 1921. He is buried at the Woodside Cemetery near Wrightstown.
