Lady Anne Percy was the daughter of Algernon Percy, 10th Earl of Northumberland. On 21 June 1652, she married Philip Stanhope, the future 2nd Earl of Chesterfield, and was styled "Lady Stanhope". The marriage only lasted little more than two years, with Anne dying on 29 November 1654. She was buried in the Percy family vault at St Mary's Church, Petworth, West Sussex, on 7 December 1654. Her widowed husband later remarried, firstly, Lady Elizabeth Butler (1640 - 1655), daughter of the 1st Duke of Ormonde; and secondly Lady Elizabeth Dormer (1658 - 1677), daughter of the 2nd Earl of Carnarvon.
