SERVICES FOR MRS. BREEDEN HELD TODAY
Was Widow of the Founder of Breeden's

Mrs. Mary Hall Breeden, age 74, mother of Carl Breeden and president of the Breeden and Company Store, died at 4:30 AM Sunday at her home, 432 South College Avenue, after an illness of several months. Death was due to a complication of diseases due to advanced age. Mrs. Breeden had been in a critical condition several weeks following an attack of pneumonia.

She was the widow of the late W. T. Breeden, founder of the Breeden and Company Store, who preceded her in death on September 12, 1917. Mrs. Breeden had spent almost her entire life in this city. She was born in Boonville, Indiana, the daughter of William and Harriett Denny Baker and moved to this county during her childhood.

Mrs. Breeden was a member of the First Methodist Church and of the D. A. R. Before advanced age caused her illness, she took an active part in the church work and until her death was one of its most devoted members. During the past few years she had spent the winters in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

Survivors are one son, Carl Breeden; one daughter, Mrs. Warren Oakes of Indianapolis; and one brother, Thomas Baker of this city.

Funeral services were conducted from the residence at three o'clock this afternoon by Dr. C. H. Taylor, pastor of the First Methodist Church.

Interment was in Rose Hill and pallbearers were Fred Beck, Clarence Miller, Charles Rawles, Roy O. Pike, Charles Pike and James W. Blair.

Among those from out of the city who attended the services were: Mrs. Jessie Willis of Ft. Lauderdale and Mrs. Charles W. Dakes, Mrs. Parry (sic) Oakes, Mrs. D. H. Huder, Mrs. D. M. Curry, Miss Isabelle Curry, Mrs. Will Brown, Mrs. A. D. Parry and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jordan, all of Indianapolis.
