Rev. Charles E. Beitler, 38, of Kansas City, Mo., died June 2 at
home. The Adams County native worked in social services and
was a former associate pastor of Colonial Church in Kansas City.
He also had worked in the ministry in Houston, Texas, Corpus
Christi, Texas, and Kingfisher, Okla.
Surviving are his parents, Alberta and Calvin Beitler of Berne;
sisters, Rebecca Liechty of Fort Wayne and Jill Miller of Port Huron,
Mich.; and brothers, David of Berne and Tom of Plymouth.
Memorial services are 2 p.m. tomorrow in Cross United Church
of Christ, Berne, with burial in MRE Cemetery.
Preferred memorials are gifts to Cross United Church of Christ
choir fund, Adams County Hospice or St. Andrew Christian Church
in Kansas City.
