Mrs. Maude Abnet Dies This Morning

Mrs. Maude Grace Abnet, 80, a resident of Adams County most of her life, died at 3 o'clock this morning at the Adams County Memorial Hospital. She had been ill for two years, and bedfast for the past six weeks.

She was born Jan. 31, 1881, a daughter of Jasper and Mary Simpson-Leming, and was married to John Abnet in 1896. Her husband preceded her in death. She made her home with Mrs. Cornelia Bertsch in Berne for the past two years.

Mrs. Abnet was a member of the First Missionary Church at Berne.

Surviving is a foster daughter, Mrs. John Zagore of Cleveland, O. One brother and two sisters are deceased.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Yager Funeral Home, the Rev. J. J. Klopfenstein officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home after 11 a.m. Friday until time of the services.
