OBITUARY

COUSHATTA, LA- Services for Jewel Onetha Bamburg will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 26, 2008 at Rose-Neath's Coushatta Chapel. Burial will be at Liberty Cemetery, Martin, LA. Mrs. Bamburg passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 in Shreveport, LA.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. til 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 25, 2008.

Jewel was born February 2, 1914 in Coushatta, LA to the late Aaron B. and Gracie Adkins Lindsey. She was beautiful, kind and generous. She was a strong and vivacious lady who loved her family deeply.

Mrs. Bamburg was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Bamburg and her children, Glenn Lee and Emmett Russell.

Survivors include her sisters, Ledavon Bamburg of Terrell, TX, Carla Kuhn of Shreveport, LA and Betty Anderson of Las Vegas, NV; her brothers, Wilder B. Lindsey and his wife, Dorothy of Natchitoches, LA and William Lindsey of Bossier City, LA; daughter-in-law, Barbara Bamburg of Denver, CO; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Luke Long, Odra White, Troy Book, Jonathan Guthrie, Danny Bamburg and Isaiah Bamburg.

Note: Onetha's grandchildren called her "Bamma".
