CLARENCE HARRISON FOUST
EFLAND - Clarence Harrison Foust, 81, of Rt. 1, died Saturday at N.C. Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Harley Anderson and the Rev. C. T. Wells officiating. Burial will be at the church.
A native of Randolph County, he was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church. He was the oldest living member of the N.C. Ramblers, a musical group.
Surviving are widow, Mrs. Mae Andrews Foust; son, Jerry Foust of Madison; stepsons, Donald Hicks of Efland, Bill Hicks of Mebane and Waltzie Hicks of Burlington; stepdaughters, Mrs. Jessie Finley and Mrs. Virginia Bush of Norfolk, Va., Mrs. Bessie Underwood of Reidsville; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; 24 stepchildren and five step-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Williams and Buckner Funeral Home in Mebane 7-9 p.m. today and at other times at the home of Donald Hicks, Rt. 1, Efland.
