Mr. Emory Bruce, age 84, of Buford, GA passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2010. He is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Lucille Sanders Bruce, Buford, GA; daughter, Evelyn Butler, Braselton, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Roy and Shirley Bruce, Lavonia, GA, Wayne Bruce, Blue Ridge, GA and Joe and Holly Bruce, Cumming, GA; nine grandchildren, Danny Bruce, Amanda Holt, Matthew Bruce, Johnny Hall, Carmen Bruce, Candice Bruce, Christa Bruce, Guinn Warbington, and Kevin Warbington; three great grandchildren; sister, Kathleen Bruce Terry, Suwanee, GA; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Leonard (Dorothy) Bruce, Norcross, GA and Mrs. Jasper (Dorothy) Bruce, Duluth, GA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mr. Bruce was born March 17, 1926 in Buford, GA. He was retired from General Motors Assembly Plant in Doraville, GA after thirty years of service and was a member of the U. A. W. Local 10. He was also a tree surgeon. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan and a Dale Earnhardt fan. Mr. Bruce was a member and deacon of Shoal Creek Baptist Church in Buford, GA. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. at Shoal Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Frankie Southerland and Rev. Jerry Crocker officiating. Interment will follow at Shoal Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
