Mildred, age 95, passed away on Sunday. She was born to Clarence & Irene (Thorison) Croft. Mildred married Royal Siebel on Jan. 27, 1940, in Evansville. They were residents of Madison for 64 years and celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in 2005. Mildred worked for General Motors in Janesville. Later, she worked as a talented seamstress for more than 50 years and baked incredible pies. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Elks Lodge No. 410 Women's Auxiliary. ildred is survived by her three children, Allen (Cynthia) Siebel of Fountain Hills, AZ, Sandra (Carl) Wenzler of Shell Lake,, WI and Nancie (Michael) Freeborn of Barrington Hills, IL; nine grandchildren, Kimberly, Mark and Scott Siebel, Linda Roux, Michael Wenzler and Christopher, Nathan, Joel and Paul Freeborn; eight great-grandchildren, Jenna and Jessica Roux, Morgan and Carter Wenzler, and Andrew, William, Paxton, and Matilda Jane Freeborn; a sister, Mabel Fellows; and a brother, Robert Croft. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Royal; brothers, Lewis, Thomas, Donald and Clarence Jr.; and sister, Hazel. Mildred was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Funeral services were held on Thursday, July 29, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Madison, with the Rev. Jeff Tomberlin presiding. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Trinity Lutheran Church. She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends and loved ones.
