He was born July 28, 1948 in Duchesne to Raleigh Russell and Dora May Mott Mezenen Ivie. He married Anne Louise Miller, later divorced.
During his lifetime, Rodger worked for W.W. Clyde & Co., a construction firm, as a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed planting his garden, visiting with friends, sneaking off to Wendover, and spending time at the cabin. His generous heart and helping hands will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his children, Stefanie (Brett) Carlson, Cheryl Ivie, Rustin Ivie all of Heber; Wendy Ivie Broomfield Co; brothers, Russell (Sylvia) Ivie, Keith (Sharolette) Ivie, Kent Ivie; sisters, Patsy Lupold, Suzzann (Stan) Young, Dian (Dean) Burton Tena (Lee) Gines; grandchildren, Brittanie, Hillary, and Hunter Carlson, Casey Mair, Cami Hupp, Cassidy Sabey, Shoni Norton, and Reagan Ivie, an aunt, uncles and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, one niece and a nephew.
Graveside services held Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Strawberry Cemetery under the direction of the Hullinger Mortuary.
