Clinton Herbert Anderson, 75, of Rockford, died at 10:11 a.m. Sunday, October 13, 2002, in Swedish American Hospital.
Born September 14, 1927, in Rockford, the son of Clarence and Effie Larson Anderson. Clinton married Helen V. Benson on May 19, 1952, in Rockford; she predeceased him August 30, 1987.
He was a lifelong area resident, and was employed as an electrician at Blackhawk Electric and Miller Engineering for 35 years.
Veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army Signal Corps.
Clinton attended Trinity Lutheran Church, was a former Boy Scout and graduated from East High School. He was a member of Electrical Workers Union 364, Belvidere VFW Post 1461, LLL Society, Blackhawk Athletic Club and Flora Grange.
Survivors include sister, Anna Marie Bradley; several nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends, Alta Herzing and Charlie Diehl; aunts, Viola Larson and Natsu Larson. Also predeceased by parents; sister, Marcella Miller, and brother, Clarence R. Anderson Jr. and Charles W. Anderson.
Service at 10 a.m. Friday, October 18, in Sundberg Funeral Home Ltd., 215 N. Sixth Street, with the Rev. Dean Larsen officiating.
Burial in First Lutheran Church Cemetery #1 in Varna, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to Boy Scouts of America.
