Lucille J. Esquibel-Pacheco , age 63, a resident of Springer, New Mexico, and was a longtime resident of Roy, New Mexico passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at her home . She was born on November 6, 1946 in Roy, New Mexico to the late Secundino Esquibel and Josie Gallegos Esquibel who survives her. She was united in marriage in Roy, New Mexico on November 9, 2002 to Pete Pacheco. She was a Catholic and a member of St. Joseph's Church in Springer, New Mexico. Lucille worked in the Harding County treasurers office for many years and retired from there as well..She was a very dedicated, loyal, independent and strong woman who loved people and was always happy and always smiling...She loved her family; as she was a loving and compassionate mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, great- grandmother, auntie and cousin. She was always optimistic, positive and encouraging even in the most difficult times...She had an amazing strength..She had an amazing spirit and love of life... she was very spiritual as she always put God first in her life..She would give even when she had nothing left for herself...She loved to dance, loved the rain, butterflies, morning glories, gardening, reading, convertibles... She loved the color red and pink..She loved to travel and see new and exciting places. She was liked and loved by many... She was one of a kind...a very special woman..that will never be forgotten and will live in our memories forever. She was preceded in death by her father: Secundino Esquibel; brother: Thomas Esquibel. She is survived by her loving husband: Pete Pacheco of Springer, NM; sons: Peter Quintana and wife Ruby, and Brian Quintana all of Nampa, Idaho; daughters: Elizabeth Martinez and husband Denis of Solano, NM; Noella Quintana of Springer, NM; Lucinda Covarrubias and husband Juan of Rio Rancho, NM; Grandchildren: Louis and wife Rachel, Marina, Adam, E.J, Joshua, Shaylin, B.J., Chance, Will, Tauri, Autumn, Jacob, Elijah, and Josiah; great- grandchildren: Brooklyn and Alexis; mother: Josie Esquibel of Roy, NM; brothers: Richard Esquibel and wife Linda of Farmington, NM, Leo Esquibel and wife Del of Albuquerque, NM, James Esquibel and wife Alma of Roy, NM, Roy Esquibel and wife Carol of Virginia, Secundino Esqubel Jr. and wife Carla of Roy, NM, and Phillip Esquibel and wife Joyce of Albuquerque, NM; sisters: Cristina Robinson and husband Ron, Evelyn Speakman and husband Gilbert all of Albuquerque, NM, and Anita Gonzales and husband Martin of Santa Rosa, NM; 2 brothers-in-law; numerous: nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends Rosary services will be held on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at 7:00 pm at St. Josephs Church in Springer, NM. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at 10:00 am at St. Josephs Church in Springer, NM with father John Cannon as celebrant. Interment will follow at Roy Cemetery in Roy, NM with the following serving as casket bearers: Leo Esquibel, James Esquibel, Richard Esquibel, Roy Esquibel, Secundino Esquibel Jr., and Phillip Esquibel. Serving as honorary bearer is: Lawrence Esquibel.
