Mrs. Godsil died at 12:55 Sunday morning at her home (842 Abingdon St.) in Galesburg, Ill. after a short illiness with Spanish Influenza. A stroke complicated her illness She was born in Bligo, Ireland, and at an early age came to this country. She lived in Kewanee, Ill. a short time, after which she came to Galesburg, where she was united in marriage to Michael Godsill. They have lived in Galesburg (51) yrs. Mr. Godsill died (9) yrs. ago. She was a devout Catholic, and was a member of St. Patrick's Church. She was the mother of (8) children, (7) of whom are living, (1) dying in infancy. Surviving are Mrs George Kennedy, Mrs. Homer (Catherine) Worden, Mrs. E.T. McNally, Mrs.Carl Scott; William Godsill, J.J. Godsill of Moline, Ill. & Edward Godsill of Peoria, Ill.; also (22) grandchildren and (2) g-grandchildren. Father Francis Banes was in charge of the funeral in St. Patrick's Church. Casket bearers were Edward Worden, William Worden,(grandsons, belonging to daughter, Catherine) Lawerence Godsill,and Sylvester Soukey(husband of her grandaughter, Lillian.
