Mr. Cooper died at St. Francis Hospital Wednesday after a brief illness. He was a retired employe of T. L. James Construction Company.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mattie Cooper of West Monroe; three sons, Daniel Cooper Jr. of Biloxi, Miss., Horace Cooper of Longview, Tex., and Dan Cooper of Monroe; three daughters, Mrs. Carrie Stanley of Delhi, Mrs. Margaret Frost of Dayton, Ohio and Mrs. Shirley Knight of Columbus, Ohio; two brothers, George Cooper and Bill Cooper, both of Lake Providence; three sisters, Mrs. Cora Lee Ragland, Mrs. Bird Smith and Mrs. Carrie Treadway, all of Lake Providence, and Mrs. Nell Neatte of New Orleans; 16 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
