Allan E. Rainey, 88, passed away peacefully at home on July 26th surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness. From his humble roots on a farm in the rolling hills of northern Kentucky; Allan learned the importance of hard work and a strong faith which sustained him through these many years. Thanks to the GI Bill, he was able to receive a fine engineering degree from Georgia Tech. He made good use of his degree, working actively in the heating and air business in Atlanta until a month before his death. More importantly, Allan always set his priorities as his God, his family, and his country. Strong spiritual and moral leadership flowed effortlessly from him and was valued by all who knew him. We are blessed to have been given this gift of example to take with us into the future. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family; his loving wife of 61 years, Doris, daughter, Donna, and grandchildren, Erika Maria and Emmett Allan.
