SARAH ELIZABETH DABNEY
---Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Dabney, a resident of La Plata for almost 40 years, died last Tuesday at the Audrain Hospital in Mexico where she had gone to visit relatives at Easter.
---A resident of Jefferson City, Mrs. Dabney spent many years in La Plata. She came here from Cockermouth, England in 1870 and married Enoch Dabney, a jeweler. They moved to Atlanta a few years before he died in 1920.
---She was preceded in death by a small daughter, Ruth, and another, Mrs. Beulah Bealer; survivors include a daughter, Miss Edith Dabney, head of the Louisiana University Art Department, and two sons, Richard and Grover Dabney of Brighton, Colorado.
---Funeral services were Thursday afternoon at the Presbyterian Church in La Plata with services by Rev. Fred Hudson.
---Burial was in the La Plata Cemetery. Christie Funeral Home was in charge.
