Thelma D. Jones, 86, Jefferson Township, died Friday at home after an illness. She was the widow of Byron Doyle, who died in 1973, and her second husband, Grant Jones, who died in 1989. Born in Lee's Summit, Mo., daughter of the late Hugh and Anna Lumman Hammond, she was a graduate of Lone Jack Missouri High School and, before retirement, was employed as a sales manager for the Tupperware Co. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Hollisterville, and was an active church member in both Pennsylvania and Page, Ariz. She worked for the Board of Elections in Page. Surviving are a daughter, Neva-Rea Brinkman, Lake Ariel; and three grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Walter Earl Doyle; and a brother, Vivian Monroe Hammond. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in First Baptist Church, Hollisterville, with services by the Rev. Kenneth Lindow, pastor. Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst. Friends may call Wednesday at the church, 10 to 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Hollisterville, RR 5, Box 5282 A, Moscow, 18444.
