Mrs. Margaret C. Gregory, 76, of 811 Baker, died Monday at 4pm at St. Rose Hospital where she had been a patient since Nov. 1. She was born May 28, 1887 at Egypt, Mo. She spent the early days of her youth at Iola where she was married in 1910 to Samuel R. Gregory. He preceded her in death in 1948. Mrs. Gregory was employed at the office of the County Clerk for the past 37 years, she was a member of the Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star, and she was active in the Knife and Fork Club, Community Concert, and BPW. Survivors include one daughter Mrs. Herbert (Ruth) Embry, Great Bend, one son Forest Gregory, Denver, three brothers, George McClelland, Kansas City, Mo, H. W. McClelland, Watertown, S.D., C.H. McClelland, Manhattan, five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday at 2pm from the Methodist Church with the Rev. S. Mancil Bell officiating; Burial will follow at the Great Bend Cemetery with the Golden Sheaf Chapter Order of Eastern Star in charge of the rites. Friends may call at the Cook and Weber Funeral Home until noon Thursday.
