HENRY ELLIS
---When a scaffolding broke November 27, 1925, during the erection of the street water tower here and two men were hurled 112 feet to their death, a call was made for workmen to finish the job. Henry Ellis, son of Mr. and Mrs. G.W. Ellis, responded.
---"You haven't the guts to undertake," jibbed men who feared the voodoo. Ellis took the job and continued to work with the Pittsburg Steel Construction Company until fate overtook him today.
---A message reached his parents that a ladder had broken while Ellis was engaged in construction of a tank at Winona, Michigan and he fell, receiving injuries from which he died this morning at 4:00.
---Henry Ellis was twenty-nine years old. He is survived by his wife, who was Mrs. Minnie Foster, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Story, three brothers and two sisters, William Ellis of Marceline, Missouri, Charles, Paul and Olive at home, and Mrs. Mary Gentry of South Bend, Indiana. His grandmother, Mrs. Mollie Ellis lives at Kirksville.
---The body will be brought here for burial, arriving tomorrow morning over the Wabash.
