Born in Lambert, Miss., on Sept 2, 1961, he moved to Mulberry from Lambert 26 years ago. He was a lawn service contractor.
He is survived by his daughter, Alfreada Austin, Frostproof; mother, Annie Bell Austin, Mulberry; brothers David Byrd, West Helena, Ark., James Byrd and William Byrd, both of Mulberry, Sylvester Austin and C.L. Austin, both of Lakeland; and sisters, Dorothy Weaver, West Helena, Ark., Martha Thomas, Winter Haven, Shirley Griffin, Lakeland, and Bernice Glass, Gary, Ind.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at Gause Funeral Home, 625 S. Holland Parkway, Bartow. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Fuller Height.
