Big Spring - Alberta Elam, 74, of Big Spring, died at 2:10 p.m. Thursday in a local hospital following a lengthy illness. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Memory Park Cemetery at Longview. The Rev. James Elam, pastor of the First Christian Church of Longview, will officiate.
Born Sept. 19, 1901 in Oklahoma, she had lived in Big Spring 13 years, coming here from Longview.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. R. Clyde Hollingsworth of Big Spring; a son, John K. Elam of Bangkok, Thailand; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three sisters.
