Paschal traveled over the southern states interviewing the Hayes Family for a thesis he was doing on the descendants of George Washington Hayes, his Grandfather. His wife Mattie Mae Brown Leatherwood traveled with him and their 7 children were born in NC, Fl, and KY with trips back home, Murphy and THE Hayes House in Murphy, NC and to Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama as he continued his work.
My Aunt Virginia met him and was given a mimeographed copy of his finished product which she passed on to me.
