Edward W. Kuhfahl, 91, of East Dundee, died March 22, at Rosewood Care Center, Elgin.

He was born February 19, 1908 in Cuba Twp., the son of Fred and Sophia (Schumacher) Kuhfahl.

He was a life long resident of the area, a former 43 year employee of Jewell Tea Co., in Barrington. He was a W.W.II Army veteran and served in the Aleutian Islands. He was also a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church of Dundee.

Survivors include a son, Dale (Helen) Kuhfahl of East Dundee; a daughter, Linda (Michael) Mooney of Frankfort, IN; three grandsons, David Kuhfahl, Chad Mooney and Ryan Mooney; and a sister, Emma Pelletier of Belvidere.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Doris (Pertiet) Kuhfahl on Dec. 15, 1983, whom he married August 31, 1944; a brother and three sisters.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 27, in St. Peter Lutheran Church, 18N377 Galligan Rd., East Dundee the Rev. Allan R. Buss and Vicar Kyle Castens officiating. Burial will be in River Valley Memorial Gardens, West Dundee.

Visitation will be 5-8:30 p.m. Friday, March 26, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 18N377 Galligan Rd., Dundee and also Saturday 9 a.m. in the Church prior to services.

Please omit flowers. Memorials may be made to the St. Peter Lutheran Church Miracle Fund.
