She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Thomas Spengler with whom she had resided for 23 years. She came to Illinois in 1851 with her parents and resided near Rochester the remaining years of her life. She was married to Lewis Mottar on Oct. 25, 1866, he preceeding her in death in 1919. They had ten children, four deceased.

Survived by daughters Mrs. Thomas Spengler, Mrs. Mary Young, Mrs. Guy Richardson, Miss Elsie Mottar, Lewis Mottar and Lester Mottar; 17 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
