Rowena Rigney Eanes, 86, of Martinsville, died Thursday, July 27, 2006, at Stanleytown Health Care Center.
She was born in Franklin County, on May 10, 1920, to Nathan Gilmore Rigney and Nannie Ada Manning Rigney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Glenn Eanes; a son, Floyd Glyn Eanes Jr.; five sisters, Daisy Rigney Oakes, Ada Rigney Amos, Pearl Rigney Lawrence, Irene Rigney Rigney and Delma Rigney Amos; and two brothers, Dillard Rigney and Bee Rigney.
She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are two daughters, Kathy M. Eanes and Patty M. Eanes, both of Martinsville; three sons, Samuel E. Eanes of Figsboro, Martinsville, Lewis A. Eanes of Eden, N.C. and Larry L. Eanes of Collinsville; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three step-great-grandchildren; and a step-great-great-grandchild.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Norris Funeral Services with the Rev. Lewis Harris officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until time for the service Saturday.
Norris Funeral Services and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

The funeral for Rowena Rigney Eanes, 86, of Martinsville, who died July 27, 2006, was held Saturday at Norris Funeral Services chapel with the Rev. Lewis Harris officiating. Burial was in Roselawn Burial Park.
Pallbearers were Ronnie Jones, Bennie Gray, Dicky Fallin, Sammy Eanes, William Fallin and Jeremy Jones.
