Burial is in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Seminary.
Mr. Adams was a heavy equipment operator and member of Sanford Missionary Baptist Church. He was an Air Force veteran.
Survivors include four sons, Tim Adams of Pelham, Ala., Byron Adams, Brad Adams and Steven Adams, all of Seminary; his father, John Robert Adams; a brother, Mike Adams of Seminary; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ila Lowery Adams.
Visitation is 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. today at the church.
