Glenvil resident Verna Rose (Wiese) Mohling, 70, died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 1996, at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital in Hastings.
Services were Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Glenvil with the Rev. Tim Wiggins officiating. Burial in Glenvil Cemetery at Glenvil. Butler-Volland Funeral Home of Hastings in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Mohling was born Aug. 7, 1925, to Arthur and Linda (Boltz) Wiese in Grand Island. On June 11, 1950, she married Lester Mohling. She lived in Germany from 1951-53 while her husband served in the U.S. Army. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Glenvil Double Dozen and American Legion Auxilary, all of Glenvil.
Survivors are her husband; one son, Gary of Glenvil; three daughters, Vanessa Johnson of Arvada,Colo., Barbara Kruger of Scottsbluff and Theesa Mahoney of Hastings; three sisters, Leona Bullis and Ahlene Findley, both of Grand Island; LaVonne Wissing of Alda; one brother, Vermoyne Wiese of Grand Island; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
Memorials given to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
