and Sarah Yardley
Wife of Nove Wages
Children:
Thelma Wages [Glidewell]
1904 – 1987
Edward Wages
1909 – 1964
George Wages
1918 – 1984
NOTES:
If one examines the death certificate posted by Dori Crisp, the date of birth on the death certificate was Jan 10, 1883, but that is not what was placed on the tombstone which was Jan 13, 1881.
It is not clear how the birth date was determined for the death certificate.
Given the death date of Jan 9, 1953 (which also does not agree with the tombstone [Jan 8, 1953]), if one uses a birth date calculator (such as the one at progenalogists.com), and the age on the death certificate of 69 years 11 months and 26 days, the calculator gives a birth date of Jan 14, 1883. If one uses Jan 8, 1953, then the birthdate of Jan 13, 1883 comes out. In no way does an 1881 birth year arise, other than on the gravestone. Was she almost 70 or almost 72 at death?
For no reason other than a belief that death certificates are more accurate than tombstones, I have posted the dates above from the death certificate.
Also: Census records for Daisy:
1900: listed as age 19 so born in 1881?
1910: can not find
1920: listed as age 37 so born in 1883?
1930: listed as age 44 so born in 1887?
1940: listed as age 55 so born in 1885?
Average is: 1884!
Maybe someone has other documentation that can clear this up?
Final note: There are three links below to her husband. Due to considerable debate with other concerned parties, FAG merged the first two into the last one, so if you want to visit her husband's memorial, click on the last link.
