Reverend Wellington Earle passed away last Thursday morning from acute indigestion at the home of George Tripp in Lincoln Township, aged 68 years, one month and 25 days.
He had delivered the address the day before at the funeral of Mr. and Mrs. Tripp's little child, and had stayed over night at the home of William Weddle. In the morning he returned to the Tripp home to go with them to the depot. In arriving at their home, he dropped on the doorstep. He was carried into the house where he died shortly afterward.
Reverend Earl was born in Canada, and had been a resident of White Cloud nearly three years, during which time he was pastor of the M. E. Church.
The funeral services were held Friday at 4 p.m. at the M. E. Church, and the body laid to rest at a cemetery in Alma.
