Charles Irvin "Tom" Fox, 71, Bedford, passed away at 4:30 a.m. Wednesday at his residence.
Born Jan. 8, 1939, in Knox County, he was the son of Lawrence and Martha (Blevins) Fox. He was married to Margaret J. Taylor on April 13, 1957.
He retired from Visteon and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Surviving are his companion of 22 years, Marie Stancombe of Bedford; daughter, Martha Ann Krenke of Bedford; grandchildren, Jeffery Salyer, Brooke Collins, and Annie King; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Jerry Fox of Bedford; a sister, Judy Callahan of Bedford; half-brothers, George Fox and Donnie Fox of Mitchell; half-sisters, Debbie Hall of Orleans, Juanita Green of Seymour, Vicky McPherson of Williams, Linda Frazee of French Lick and Freida Anderson, of Pekin; stepbrother, Richard Schofield of Bedford; and former wife, Margaret J. Grace of Mitchell.
His parents; stepmother, Frances Fox; brother, James Fox; sisters, Freida Gratzer, Katie Wicker, Pansy Dawson, Juanita Fox, and Louise Fox; and stepsisters, Sue Longest and Patty Brothers, preceded him in death.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Tunnelton Cemetery with Rev. Jay Bennett officiating. Military honors will be accorded by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.
