Charles Edward Ogburn, eldest son of Ray Edward Ogburn and Vena Virginia (Thompson) Ogburn died 20 Apr 2006. His eldest daughter, Nancy Wenzel was with him at the end.

He is survived by three children, Nancy,(Larry Wenzel), Glenn (Denice Luce) and Stacy (Mike Redding), two grandchildren, David Wenzel and Laura Bingaman and three brothers, Howard, Jim and Don. Charles was predeceased by a stepson Robert Moody. Two step sons, Thomas and Timothy Moody survived him.

Charles, was widowed when his wife Mary died three years before him. He was only weeks from his 75th birthday.

Charles was a master carpenter and builder, especially skilled in doors, locks and windows.

A devout Christian, he as a member of the Marsh Creek Church of the Brethren, north of Gettysburg.

His ashes were scattered on the graves of his parents in the Upper Marsh Creek Cemetery within two miles of his place of birth.
