In Germany, Grandma Kaschner's family was very much into music. So it was natural for her to play the piano and could also play mandolin and guitar as well. At the request of her husband (Leopold - who had found America most inviting), she and her new child came over to the U.S. shortly after that. Daughter Ursula C. Kaschner (Clark) who was born July 26,1922 and Charlotte's name are on the Ellis Island (immigration) Memorial Wall.
