Marguerite Jacob was born Aug. 18, 1910, in Marion, to William and Sarah (Keen) Jacob. She was the first of six children.
On Aug. 22, 1933, in Marion, she married Verlin M. Roach. She taught first and second grade at Jackson Township School, then taught at Darrough Chapel School.
She graduated from high school and college in Marion.
She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and enjoyed vacationing, crocheting and quilting.
Verlin preceded her in death on June 19, 1979. Marguerite passed in Kokomo, Indiana, at the Alterra Sterling House, on May 16, 2006, at age 95.
