Funeral services for Mrs. Huldah Valin, 84, Varna, who died Wednesday, July 9, 1969, at St. Margaret's Hospital, Spring Valley, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church, Varna. The Rev. P. Daniel Fant officiated and interment was in the parish cemetery (First Lutheran Cemetery #1) north of Varna, IL.
A daughter of Peter and Hilma Olson Lindstrom, she was born September 13, 1884. She was married in Varna on September 30, 1902, to John Edwin Valin, who died in 1953.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Leola Shanklin of Toluca, and Mrs. Hattie Henry of Wenona; six grandchildren; and two brothers, Arthur Lindstrom of Milwaukee, WI; and Charles of Magnolia, IL.
