Karl E. Guth, 70 years of age, passed away in his Point Place residence of 47 years on Thursday, June 3, 2010. Karl was born in Toledo, Ohio to Orville C. and Mildred M. (Kreutzpeintner), both of which have preceded him in death. Karl served his country in the United States Army; his country will be forever grateful. He worked, for 30 years, for G.M. Hydromatic retiring in 1991. A NASCAR and racing enthusiast, he enjoyed being up north in the woods. Spending time with his family is what was most important to him. Also preceded in death is his grandson, Stephen Tyler Guth. Left behind to honor his memory is his loving wife of 47 years, Mary Ellen (Kellermeier), sons; Jeffrey, John (Tammy), Mark (Connie), and Matthew (Rhiannon) Guth, grand children; Emily, Alyssa, Bobby, Samantha, and Sydney, his brother, David, sisters; Sharon (Al) and Gloria (Jim), and many others who loved him. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 6, 2010 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at David R. Jasin-Hoening Funeral Home, 5300 N. Summit St. (419.726.1583). Funeral Services will be held in the funeral home on Monday, June 7, 2010 at 10 am with Father Gerald Chmiel officiating. Interment will be at Restlawn Cemetery. The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to any Cancer Society and charities in Karl's memory.
