Suzanne Marie Cain died Aug. 2, 2010, at her home following a long battle with leukemia. She was 69. She was born Aug. 12, 1940, in Pueblo, Colo., to Clarence T. and Margaret J. (Hall) Jensen. Suzanne grew up in Pueblo and graduated from Centennial High School. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder. On Feb. 5, 1965, she married Tom Cain at St. Peter Episcopal Church in Pueblo. She has made her home since 1972 in either Longmont, Colo., or Wichita, Kan. During the course of her working life, Suzanne taught school at Douglas Elementary, was a bookkeeper for Bradley's Auto Salvage, The Corral and working from home for Dr. Hall, and held the position of director of education for Venture House in Wichita. She was a member of St. Stephen Episcopal Church and the Sunset Women's 9-Hole golf club. Suzanne enjoyed golf and bowling. She was preceded in death by her parents; and son-in-law, Michael Stover. Suzanne is survived by her husband, Tom of Longmont; daughter, Alicia Stover of Longmont; brother and sister-in-law, Ted and Punky Jensen of Pueblo; and two nephews, Alan and Chris Jensen. A Farewell Time of Remembrance will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, 2010, at the Ahlberg Funeral Chapel, Longmont. Cremation at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory. Memorial contributions are suggested to HospiceCare of Boulder and Broomfield Counties or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and may be sent in care of Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
