Pg B3, Trenton Times. OBITUARY APPEARED TUESDAY DECEMBER 24, 1984: WILLIAM A. ASHBRIDGE; KULPMONT, PA. -- William A. Ashbridge, 64, of 658 Pine St., Kulpmont, died Saturday at Shamokin State General Hospital.
Born in Merchantsville, NJ, Mr. Asbridge was a retired electrical and mechanical engineer. He had worked for Campbell Soup Company, Camden; Hughes Aircraft in Arizona; and Frequency Engineering Laboratories in Farmingdale, NJ.
He was a graduate of the Ashland High School Class of 1938. He was a former post commander of American Legion Post 336 of Philadelphia; a lifetime member of the Mercer County R.C. Model Club; and a member of the Nottingham Recreation Center for the Phsically Limited.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps in World War II and the Korean Conflict for a total of six years.
Surviving are his wife, Jean Graham Ashbridge, three sons, William A. Ashbridge III of Belview, Neb., Michael Bruce Chumar of Florence, NJ; a daughter, Florence Siegfried of Bethlehem, Pa.; six grandchildren; a step-grandchild; three great-great grandchildren; and two sisters, Dorothy Harrigan and Margaret Hanna, both of Levittown.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. at the C.J. Lucas Funeral Home, 1053 Chestnut St., Kulpmont, Pa. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Trenton, NJ.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m.
