H. Garrand, 45, of 352 Loch
Muller Road, died Tuesday afternoon,
Dec. 16, 2003 at the Glens
Falls Hospital. She had been ill
with cancer for the past year.
JoAnne was born Match 8,
1958 in Ware, Mass., the daughter
of Charles E. and Bertha A.
Peltier Garrand Sr.
JoAnne was employed at
Truestitch in Malone for 17
$ears, then moved to Wilmington
and was employed as the supervisor
of housekeeping at the
Adirondack Inn in Lake placid for
three years. She had lived in the
SChroon Lake area for the past
year. • JoAnne loved to fish, enjoyed
the mountains, flowers and helping
other cancer patients with their concerns.
She is survived by her very
dear friend and companion
Richard L. Mc Dermott of
Schroon Lake; her mother Bertha
Shonyo of Malone; five sisters:
Juanita and her husband Bill
Roach of Sutton, Mass, Gloria

her father, Charles E. Garrand Sr,

Edward L, Kelly Funeral Home,

Funeral services will be held at 4
p.m. Saturday at the funeral
home. The Rev. Cathy Maker,
pastor of the Schroon Lake
Community Church, will officiate.
Interment will take place in
the Severance Cemetery in the
spring.
