He was born August 30, 1916 at Bruceton Mills, Preston County, a son of the late Thomas M. and Vernie L. Heldreth.
Surviving are his widow, Virginia Jones Heldreth, two daughters, four grandchildren, one brother and five sisters.
He was a retired employee of the Consolidation Coal Company, Williams Mines, a member of the St. Johns Masonic Lodge, No. 24 of Shinnston and a 32nd Degree Mason of the Wheeling Consistory and a member of the United Methodist Church at Wyatt.
Friends are being received at the Harmer Funeral Home, in Shinnston. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the United Methodist Church at Wyatt with Rev. Homer F. Burge and Rev. Frederick Sprigg officiating.
Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery at Shinnston. Ritualistic graveside services will be conducted by St. Johns Masonic Lodge.
