Pioneer Farm Woman Dies Near St. Ansgar
St. Ansgar –Funeral services for Mrs. Louise Ahlf, 82, were held Saturday afternoon at Immanuel Lutheran church the Rev. H. C Wolters officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. She died Wednesday at her home near St. Ansgar.
Survivors include 3 sons, Edward, Henry and Oscar, all of St. Ansgar, and 4 daughters, Mrs. Henry Dieterich; Mrs. Herman Eske; Mrs. Fernie Knaack and Bertha, St. Ansgar; 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Ahlf was born in Wisconsin, came with her parents to Iowa at the age of 9 years and was married to Edward Ahlf on April 29, 1887. They first made their home on a farm near Mitchell, then moved to a farm wet of St. Ansgar which they laer purchased and where they spent the remainder of their lives.
