He served in Port Royal, SC, May 7, 1917, 82nd. Co. Quantico, VA, August 1, 1917 and France, November 19, 1917. He was promoted to Corporal January 8, 1918. He engagements were at Toulon Sector, Aisne Defensive, and Chatuea Thierry Sector. He was overseas from November 19, 1917 to June 8, 1918. He served with the United States Marine Corps, 6th. USMC Regiment, 2nd Division.
