Caesar enlisted in the Army Air Corps 18 Apr 1942 in Newark. He’d had a grammar school education and was single without dependents. His civil occupation was listed as carpenter. He was assigned to the 852 Bomb Squadron of the 491st Bomb Group.
Caesar was Radio Operator and gunner on B-24 44-40234 “Times Awaisting” piloted by Lt Richard Wilson.
Caesar’s plane was shot down and crashed near Dusseldorf on 13 Sep 1944, his father’s birthday. Mission Air Crew Report 8860.
Caesar was listed as missing in action.
