Lieutenant in United States Navy Reserve. Killed in action and lost at sea when the USS Bismarck Sea (CVE-95) Carrier was sunk as the result of 2 Kamikaze hits on the 3rd day of the Battle of Iwo Jima. Enlisted in Virginia -Service ID: 101008. He was honored with a Purple Heart, Combat Action Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Expeditionary Medal, American Campaign Medal, Navy & Navy Presidential Unit Citation, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, WW II Victory Medal.
