Jack was the son of J. Blannie Davis and Una Daniel Clarke Davis. He served with the U.S. Army Air Forces in World War II as part of the 500th Bomber Squadron, 345th Bomber Group. He was killed Aug. 12, 1945, while on a bombing raid of Japanese shipping.
