Military: Captain Davis later became the commanding officer of Company A, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment(PIR), 101st Airborne Division in late 1943. He was wounded in Normandy. While serving in Holland was severely wounded. He was eventually medically retired after 14 years of service to his country. He retired at the rank of Major.
After serving in the military he began a career in the real estate business.
He died suddenly on Christmas Day from a massive heart attack.
He is survived by his wife Vivian, and four children.
